What's driving this

Getting started in 60 seconds

RetireSG answers one question: will your money last in retirement? Enter your real numbers, and the Results tab shows whether you're funded, when your spendable cash might run out, and your CPF LIFE income for life.

Where to find each number

  • CPF balances (OA / SA / RA / MA): open the Singpass app → tap CPF, or log in at cpf.gov.sg.
  • Monthly spending: your bank's tracker — DBS NAV Planner, OCBC or UOB insights — averaged over a few months.
  • Salary: your latest payslip (gross, before CPF).
  • Investments / SRS: your brokerage or robo app (Endowus, Syfe, IBKR, Tiger, etc.).

Simple Check vs Advanced Plan

🟢 Simple Check — a fast baseline

Seven inputs, about a minute. It assumes 2.5% inflation, a 4% return on investments, standard CPF rules, and a plan to age 90 — so you can focus on the core question without the detail.

🟡 Advanced Plan — the full model

  • Couples: plan as a household with combined balances and doubled CPF thresholds.
  • Property & mortgage: track home value and when your loan clears.
  • SRS & per-account returns: set your own rates for cash, investments and SRS.
  • CPF LIFE top-ups: model topping your Retirement Account to the FRS or ERS.
  • Stress tests: a prolonged bear market, or a crash right at retirement (sequence-of-returns risk).
  • Legacy: set an amount you'd like to leave behind.

The CPF terms, briefly

  • OA / SA / MA: Ordinary (housing, 2.5%), Special (retirement, 4%), MediSave (healthcare, 4%).
  • SA closes at 55: its savings move into a new Retirement Account (RA), up to the Full Retirement Sum; anything extra goes to OA.
  • BRS / FRS / ERS (2026): Basic $110,200, Full $220,400, Enhanced $440,800. The more you set aside, the larger your payout.
  • CPF LIFE: a lifelong monthly income from age 65, based on your RA. Roughly $1,730/mth at FRS, up to ~$3,340/mth at ERS.
  • Extra interest: +1% on your first $60k across accounts, and another +1% on the first $30k once you're 55+ — up to 6% on early dollars.

Assumptions & honest limits

This is a planning estimate, not advice or a guarantee. It uses 2026 CPF figures and simplifies real rules: CPF LIFE is modelled as the level Standard Plan; allocation and interest tiers are approximated; tax on income and SRS withdrawals isn't modelled; and couple mode treats your entries as household totals with doubled caps. CPF rules and retirement sums change yearly — re-check the official figures at cpf.gov.sg before making decisions. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you type is sent anywhere.
